Wedding sneak peek...
Good morning (afternoon or evening) my faithful few followers! I know you are here for one reason and one reason only... PICTURES!!! are they up yet? are they up yet? .... well almost. Thank you so much for your patience with me this week. It has proven to be a busy week, with Haileys surgery, weaning Hayden, wisdom teeth, sickness, flooding and a broken toe. I am working, I promise you I am. Sweet baby Teagan's slideshow should be up for all to see by tomorrow at the latest (Friday) and then its wedding time! So, in the mean time, here are a few sneak peeks that I picked out to share with you of the Waits wedding. I sure don't want to loose anyone along the way, so I figured I'd better give up some photos or I was going to be in the dog house... and the dog house here is soaking wet!!! Enjoy BJ and his beautiful bride Holly Waits.....
Guess what I learned today?

One week down... five to go
Well, it's been a week since surgery, and since we got home. And I would say things are going well. Hailey has adusted remarkably well to the brace, the only thing that presents a problem is finding shirts/dresses that will fit over it and blacking her little brothers eye. He is just the right height to be level with the elbow hinge and he has gotten it pretty good a couple of times!
This morning I brought out the Cottage play house Hailey got for her birthday and we played house. I set up a grocery store in her room with all her play food lined up and she then got her purse and her walmart shopping cart and went grocery shopping while Hayden and I cleaned the (play)house and awaited her return. I was teaching Hayden how to take care of the baby... shhhh- don't tell his daddy. He was so sweet, holding the baby, and putting it to bed, and giving it a kiss...Ahhhhh. Then after Hailey got home with her grocery store bounty she set it all up on the table and made us some coffee. I didn't have the heart to tell her that I don't like coffe, after all its just pretend, but I did have her put extra sugar and extra cream. (I should be pretty awake right now cause I think she made me drink like five cups!!!) So then I put the baby in the walmart cart and had Hayden take the baby to the store- he was so cute pushing the baby around in the cart! I am training him for his future wife- to take care of the kids and do some grocery shopping. :~)
There is sooooo much work I need to be doing this morning. I have pictures to proof, and my house is a mess... but I took a break, and played. Do I feel guilty for not being on task and letting things go? Of course I do. But do I feel guily everyday when my babies want to play and want to snuggle and I have to put them off until later, later, later because mommy has so much work to do- ABSOLUTELY!! And you know what really matters? not that my house was always clean, the laundry always done and put away, or that I had the fastest picture turn around- but that my children have memories of mommy sitting in their rooms playing, going on picnics, playing house and dress up and teaching them how to make pretend coffee- heavy on the cream and sugar!
So, that's how things have been going around here... oh, and that I have been in terrible pain with a wisdom tooth coming in... why are they called wisdom teeth anyway? I think they should be called torture and agony teeth! And one last tid bit- my studio/basement flooded yesterday! Yep it flooded. Still haven't calculated the damage completely as I have been playing this morning, but all equipment was off the floor and out of harms way as far as lights and suff goes. The biggest casualty was my backdrops- both my seamless paper and my new muslin were soaked :~( Oh, and last but surely not least on my sad list at the bottom of this post... the kitten we tried to save from certain death last Saturday died this morning.... we tried... Hailey loved that little kitty... not sure how to explain death to a three year old, but I'm going to have to figure it out because she is relentless with questions!

Day two...and three...
Has been great! Hailey has been great! Yesterday (day two) she woke up full of happiness and sunshine! She was sweet and kind all day (unusually so), and had pretty much no pain! Here is a picture of her at bedtime with her 'broken' bear that has a brace on its arm just like her (thanks to Nanna Teresa).
She has amazed me, but even more our Lord has amazed me with the answers he has sent to our prayers, both mine and yours. She is not in pain, she is not being a grouchy grizzly bear, and she is doing EXCELLENT with her abduction brace!! I was most concerned about the 6 weeks recovery- but she is surpassing all expectations! Here are a couple of pictures for you all to see it in it's entirety:
the front...
and the back...
Last night she had to have a sponge bath, since we can't get the brace wet, and she got to have her head laid back in the sink like at the salon to get her hair washed, she just thought it was pretty neat to lay up on the kitchen counter! But I must confess, after 6 weeks, I am thinking this girl is gonna be ripe! She's gonna be going and going and going like the engergizer bunny, and that's alot of sweating!! Just today we were outside making grass/rock/mud meals and digging for worms.... :~)
And so far, Hayden has not recieved any significant head or body trauma- so keep your fingers crossed on that one!
More pics and updates to come in the days to come- gotta get back to work now! :)
Love and Blessings,
TeReSa

Made it home, and on the mend...
As most of you know, Hailey's surgery was this last Monday. We stayed at the Ronald McDonald house Sunday night and was up and at Childrens' Mercy by 6am. She went into surgery at 8am... the procedure took about an hour and fourty five minutes, and all went well. There were no complications, no problems. When she woke up she wanted me immediatley- so I ended up in bed with her... and I spent much of the time we were there (when she was awake) in the bed next to her. At one point last night she rolled over and had her brace resting on my face... at that point I retreated to my own sleeping spot. You can see about one third of the abduction brace in these pictures. I will post another later that will show you the full thing. She will wear it 24/7 for 6 weeks with no taking it off, no getting it wet. She is tolerating it pretty well for the most part. At times she says it hurts, it's too tight, it's not going to work. But we then explain to her again that it has to stay on. Zack and I think she will adjust pretty well, once she gets over being whiney about it :) She has been pretty cranky, but other than that she has done very well. She hasn't experience much pain really- which is good. And didn't seem to have alot of fear and anxiety about the surgery either before or after. Just a little bit of Diva attitude (and a little bit of that goes a LONG way with me!) So, I wanted to say thank you to all who had her in your thoughts and prayers over the last few days! You are much appreciated and we love you! God was faithful to answer us- she had peace, she was not afraid, the surgery went perfect, and she has seemed to tolerate the brace fairly well. Please continue to keep us in your prayers as we try to survive the next six weeks in the brace without any ER trips for Hayden (that thing is a weapon!!) and that she will adjust well to being immobilized and completely uncomfortable!
More to come later. I have to get to work now that I am home- there are orders to place, and pictures to proof, and flyers to create....

Attn: Fellow Photographers...
If there are any fellow photogs out there listening in.... I need you to take a minute to cruise on over and cast a vote- for who you may ask? Dejah Quinn Photography- She's awsome, and she's in a contest to win a free spot in a photography workshop. How great would that be right?! I'm not sure who else is in the contest, but I am pretty sure she deserves to win it- cause not only is she passionate about photography and a talented artist, she is passionate about Jesus and that makes her pretty AOK in my book!! Oh, and what is in it for you and me? free stuff as well- some photoshop actions to be exact... and I've been eyeballing them for months now- so get on over to http://www.seethelightworkshop.com/blog/?p=175 and vote for Dejah Quinn (the first picture)
Thanks!

Good Friday
This is one of the new 'sets' I have now for the 'studio'. It's a pink wall on one side, and blue on the other, with a wood floor underneath. It's only large enough for the babies and little ones... but I just needed something more than white and black!!!
Hope you all have a good Good Friday, a spectacular Saturday and a Blessed Easter Sunday!!
It's only ten days from today that Hailey has surgery... Please keep that on your prayer list as the day approaches.
Love and Blessings,

Another sneek peak
This little guy was fun, and he has the biggest blue eyes! He traveled all the way from Springfield to see me and get his picture taken!! He was the cutest little thing waving bye-bye and playing with the blocks. In fact, he loved the blocks so much we just about couldn't even get him to look up for a picture! I can't wait to shoot the whole family in July! But here is a peek at his session, will have the rest up... well, soon. Gotta get my wedding done first... it's coming, I promise!!

So these pictures are for my Momma (Nanna Teresa).. she has been stalking my blog and website hoping for some new pictures- at least twice a day! So, in not wanting to disappoint, here are some of Hayden from the other day when we were playing (practicing) and Hailey snuck in one of them with her tu-tu on. Enjoy!
TeReSa
p.s. For all of you waiting on the wedding and maternity sessions to post... they are coming, I promise! I only have about 300 more photos to proof between the two of them and they'll be up! Thanks for being patient with me!! :~)
