Change..

Sometimes change is scary, sometimes its exciting, and sometimes is just plain hard! Well, there have been some changes recently in my personal life that will create some necessary changes regarding my business and the studio. Due to my husbands recent job change we will be moving out of the SEK area. It's a good move for our family, but a hard move for me as it relates to my business here and the clients I feel a strong commitment to. The studio will remain open at least through July, and possibly until January, that is yet to be determined. I will share that information with you when things are decided and settled. I will still be scheduling sessions, but availability will be much more limited. I will be scheduling sessions one, possibly two weekends per month depending on demand.

So, here are some other studio changes that will follow:

1. There will be a minimum order amount for all sessions (excluding baby planners) of $250. This is in addition to your setting fee. I have never done a minimum before because I think if a person has a limited budget, that doesn't mean they should be limited in their options for portraits of their children/family. But,do to the extra travel expense and time involved a minimum is now necessary.

2. Digital options will now be available. All sessions will have a new digital option where you will choose 20 images from your session that will be fully edited and burned to a disc for your personal printing. It will come with a signed image release and instructions for printing that will give you printing lab options where you can get quality prints and photo products with your images. These discs will be $300. This will make ordering easier for both you and for me. It will also make shipping orders easier.

3. All session fees will be due at the time of scheduling. Do to the travel involved there will be little room for rescheduling and the session fee will be non refundable and will cover my time, even if you don't show up. If something comes up and you have to reschedule, that is fine, I of all people understand how life changes and things come up, and the session fee will be applied to that session. But all cancellations and no shows will not get the session fee refunded. Session fees will remain the same: $75 for studio OR location (outside) and $100 for both. Senior sessions are $150 across the board with studio and locations included along with several changes.

4. I will not be accepting any new Baby Planners at this time.

That is all that I can think of right now that will be changing...hard changes to make for me. I was looking forward to 2011 for so many reasons, mainly because it was going to be my first year in the studio full time and I was very excited about all that I had planned and all that was to come. I have a very heavy heart over that changing. But, God has been the one to give me this dream, and He has been the one to build it to where it is. He has opened up so many doors and opportunities that I never thought possible and I know He is still at the wheel. Though I don't understand, I am walking in faith that the work that He has begun in me, He will complete. Thank you in advance for your patience and business through these transitions and changes.
